Text Box: Text Box: Our club has access to mining claims galore! Some are only one half to one hour away. Members may use these claims whenever they wish. All the gold they find is theirs to keep, and the camping is beautiful. You may not get rich on these claims, but you will find a wealth of new friends, outdoor activity, adventure, and once you learn how...GOLD! At monthly club outings and meetings our members will gladly help you learn. Family membership in SMTH is very inexpensive. Our goal is to provide the most recreational mining, fun and adventure at the lowest price possible. Ours is not a commercial, for profit venture. When you first learn prospecting you need some helpers to teach you the tricks and techniques of finding gold. Someone who knows where all the “good places” are for panning or metal detecting. Someone with whom to share the excitement of your finds. Where to find that someone? In a treasure hunter’s club! The members of a treasure hunting club will gladly share their experiences, knowledge and techniques as well as showing you the shortcuts and better ways to be successful in prospecting or detecting for coins and relics. Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters (SMTH) meets at 7:00 pm the first Monday of each month at the American Legion 1018S. Meridian Road , Apache Junction, AZ 85220. Anyone interested may attend one monthly meeting and one Club outing before joining. After joining, members are required to pay annual membership dues. We don’t guarantee that you’ll get rich, but you will have a lot of fun trying!! Stop by Club Headquarters and meet and visit with Dan, Cyndi, Joe and the crew.
